As the nomination period enters its last week, The Livingroom Customer Service Awards team will be based in the OSA Pop Up Shop in Smith Street for the last three days of voting. With nominations already set to top last year’s total of 1,021, they hope that having a ‘shop front’ presence in the centre of town will stimulate the last rush of nominations before voting closes at lunchtime on Saturday.

Event organiser, Julie Todd, explained: “People are sometimes fully intending to nominate someone but don’t quite get around to it. Having a physical presence in town means that they can vote on the spot there and then.  It only takes two minutes. Having the shop is a real bonus and will help build the profile of the awards. We are extremely grateful to OSA for their generosity.”

The OSA Pop Up Shop has had a wide range of tenants since the concept was launched.

Belinda Windsor, manager OSA who is responsible for the pop-up shop said: “We are delighted at how popular the shop has been since we launched it in December last year. We provide premises in the centre of town for a week at a time mainly to community groups and charities that require help in raising awareness and funds. We have also hosted local artists and small start up businesses who, in return for promoting their products/services, donate a percentage of their sales to a charity of their choice. We have actively sought to have a diverse range of residents in the OSA Pop Up Shop to maintain public interest and to deliver valuable support to the Guernsey community.”

The Livingroom Customer Service Awards will be in the OSA Pop Up Shop from Thursday 27 to lunchtime on Saturday 29 June.

Come and see us there and don’t forget that the Awards ceremony will take place in Market Square on Friday 5 July at 5.30pm. There is no charge and everyone is welcome.
