The Livingroom Customer Service Awards (Guernsey) and The Normans Customer Service Awards (Jersey) are launching a range of tailored training courses offering companies and staff the opportunity to receive expert guidance on how to deliver the highest quality customer service.

The courses are run by the Channel Islands’ only Institute of Customer Service-accredited training practitioner, The Channel Islands Skills Academy (CISA, and are planned to coincide with the customer service awards in Guernsey and Jersey.

“The awards in both islands have grown considerably since their inception. Each year we aim to develop the event and to continue to build a service-driven culture throughout the islands’ business communities. Offering these courses is a natural expansion to the awards and I am sure that, with the quality of trainer we have secured, participants will be a ‘step ahead’ when they go back to the workplace,”

said Julie Todd, managing director of Todd and Associates, organisers of the awards.

Each course is half a day in length and includes professional guidance across the whole spectrum of customer service from creating the right impression to handling difficult customer situations and even tips for ensuring the customer comes back time and time again.

Places can be booked for individuals or groups and discounts are available to organisations taking multiple places.

  •   Monday 16 September (9.30am to 12pm or 2pm to 4.30pm)
