Searching for Jersey’s customer service heroes
Nominations for this year’s Jersey Post Customer Service Awards are now open.
Organised in association with the Jersey Chamber of Commerce, the awards celebrate excellence, best practice and innovation in customer service. Their aim is to highlight the contribution great customer service can make to a business’s success – something of particular importance in today’s highly competitive commercial environment.
The general public is now able to nominate individuals or teams in Jersey who have gone beyond the call of duty in offering excellent customer service. Previous winners represent a wide spectrum of the island’s business community both in terms of size and sector.
Last year’s successes included the team at the Tot Stop Crèche within Co-op Grand Marché as overall winners; Joe Gomes of the Somerville Hotel for the tourism award; and the team at Waitrose for the best team.
Award categories are designed to be inclusive of all of Jersey’s business community.

Awards founder and organiser, Julie Todd, is encouraging everyone to get involved.
‘We have all experienced good and bad service in Jersey. Social media makes it easier than ever for us to complain when things go wrong. These awards give the Jersey public the opportunity to redress the balance and recognise and reward those who do a fabulous job. It is free to nominate a team or individual and you could really make someone’s day by doing so. Last year we introduced the aspiring star award which is specifically targeted at young people new to the customer service environment. They may just be a part-time ‘Saturday worker’ but could already be standing out from the crowd. We’ve had some inspiring nominations in the past and we hope that we will see even more this year. After all they are the future champions of customer service.’
